To-do is a little clearer, but hyphens are naturally lost as languages evolve (to-day, wire-less), so todo should be fine too. Edit: Waggers makes a very good point that todo isn't yet as widely adopted as to-do.

Using a footnote on the front cover does not seems an acceptable solution. "(deceased)" and "RIP" (even in small caps) sounds 'too much' to me (purely subjective opinion). Finally "the late XX" does not look nice when all names ...

  8. 1 oct. 2012 · That doesn't mean you have to always write in bullets; you can turn the feature off. If you truly have a list, then bullet it. If you only have one item, or you are writing in long sentences and paragraphs, don't bullet them; that's not what bullets were designed for, just like a "list" was not designed for one item.

On normally refers to location on some 2-D plane in a 3-D space; movement away from the plane is off. Gravity may be assumed, so such movement is normally up.
