It appears to have been modified after it left the factory for a canopy as shown by the four metal mounting points in the gunwales. Benson. forums.wcha.org.

  3. 21 avr. 2024 · Welcome, the Old Town canoe with serial number 145749 is a 16 foot long, CS (Common Otca model with open spruce gunwales, ash decks, ash thwarts, ash seats, and a keel. It was built between June and August, 1946. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It shipped on August 29th, 1948 to Spokane, Washington.
