20 juin 2023 · All of my same thoughts. I graduated high school 25 years after the fictional characters of Dazed and Confused would have, but despite the time difference it perfectly captures the aimless driving around, getting into trouble, trying to score beer, and the complex social linkages and hierarchies of high school.
12 févr. 2021 · Each film school in Vancouver seems to have its own specialty, Capilano is more industry focused, Emily Carr is very film art focused, SFU is experimental, independent and interdisciplinary film focused, and UBC is an industry and independent hybrid. Not super sure about sheridan or langara. At SFU you will have plenty of hands on time working ...

I took a film class in High School and it was one of the best classes I took at any level. I'd definitely suggest some classics like Ben Hur and Citizen Kane would be good. It's basically a way funnier, more entertaining version of Dazed and Confused. Superbad is a good representation of high school though.
22 nov. 2015 · Film is a subversive art form. It does not belong in high school. Film is cool. High school isn't. Putting the two together is a recipe for disaster. They are impressionable at that age, and if you create an association between film and high school, it may very well ruin film for them. You say film saved your life: I bet you didn't like high ...
I took a film course my senior year of high school (2005) ((Jesus Christ)), and we watched a lot of the movies you're showing them. We went by decade starting with Chaplin films and making our way through to the late 70's. Not surprised they dug The Graduate, that was one of my class's favorites as well. Very surprised to hear they panned To ...
