  2. 1. I attended a Aldi Experience day last week and four days later they informed me I didn't get the job. What I don't understand is, why put me through 3 stages of the application (online assessment, interview and Aldi Experience) then not give me the job when they basically made out I would be successful.

But I went to an Experience Day at Aldi on Monday and it seemed to go okay and they said they would get back to me in a few days but it's now Sunday and they haven't emailed, is this normal??   7. I had an interview at aldi once. Not a telephone interview- but a face to face one. And it was at some recruitment day. From the experience i had- you basically get asked about yourself, what you are doing (in terms of studying, employment etc), any experience you have of working in a team etc, what would you do if you had a difficult customer.

Do your research about the history of Aldi, their values etc. Know your strengths and weaknesses, think of examples for when you've worked in a team or overcome a problem as these are common questions. Don't be afraid to say you don't know the answer to something. If you try to lie or blag through it they will know.

  9. ALDI only operates for the profit of the German owners. ALDI don’t hesitate to replace people they don’t like, and their staff turnover is very high. Uni graduates would be better advised to work in roles where they can utilize the degree they’ve studied, which in the long term will give them a lot more opportunities than ALDI can offer.
