Abraham (originally Abram) is the common Hebrew patriarch of the Abrahamic religions, including Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
Abraham est un personnage central pour les chrétiens. Il l’est aussi pour les juifs et les musulmans. Sa vie est racontée dans la Genèse, le premier livre de la Bible. Abraham, c’est celui qui fait totalement confiance en Dieu. Et pourtant, sa vie n’est pas facile :
Abraham ( hébreu : אַבְרָהָם /av.ra.'ham/, guèze : አብርሃም /ab.ra.'ham/, arabe : إبراهيم /ib.ra.'him/) est un personnage des écritures juives, considéré comme le principal patriarche des religions juive, chrétienne et musulmane par la majorité des courants qui les constituent. Il est une des figures centrales du Livre de la Genèse.
ABRAHAM ā brə’ hăm ( אַבְרָהָ֤ם ). The primary source of Abraham is the narrative account given in Genesis 11:26-25:18. Significant is the fact that throughout the rest of the OT he is mentioned by name more than forty times. The number of references by NT writers exceeds seventy.
