St John's College est une organisation caritative (charity) selon le droit anglais 2. Avec 135 enseignants associés (fellows), 530 étudiants et 300 doctorants, il est le deuxième plus important collège de Cambridge. Il est jumelé avec le Balliol College d' Oxford et le Trinity College de Dublin.
