11 sept. 1994 · Overview. Unexpected events occur when Pat, a glamorous British-born star of American soaps, returns home to plug her auto-biography on television and meets, for the first time since they were teenagers, Margaret her plain and frumpy younger sister.
US soap queen Pat Bedford jets into London, intending to revive a flagging career. The last thing she needs is to be reunited on national TV with her dowdy long-lost sister Margaret. To make matters worse, a newshound with a nose for celebrity scandal is soon on the sisters' trail.
A tabloid reporter seeks dirt on a glamorous soap star (Julie Walters) reunited with her dowdy waitress sister (Victoria Wood) on British television.
