29 oct. 2017 · In redux-thunk dispatch is simply a function which dispatches an action to the Redux store after, let's say, you fetch data from an API (which is asynchronous). You can pass any function you like to .then() or .catch() of some Promise and it will be invoked upon success or failure.

So, when you hooked up your React view with the Redux store via the connect method, you had access to store's state and methods. ({ dispatch }) is simply using JS destructuring assignment to extract dispatch from this.props object.

11 août 2020 · The This workflow has a workflow_dispatch event trigger. text does not change with the branch. It seems to be taken from master. Alternatively, it may be being taken from the last set of results. I have not tested for that because either way it is not helpful behaviour.

According to useReducer docs, dispatch is has a stable identity. I interpreted this to mean that when a component extracts dispatch from a useReducer, it won't re-render when the state connected to that dispatch changes, because the reference to dispatch will always be the same. Basically, dispatch can "treated like a static value".
7 oct. 2019 · I think about it like this, what should be state? And what should be derived from state? State should be stored in redux, and derivations should be calculated.
