Brinley "Brin" Newton-John (5 March 1914 – 3 July 1992) was a Welsh–Australian university administrator, professor of German literature, intelligence officer, and Wing commander during the Second World War.
Brinley Newton-John (1914–1992) was a professor of German literature and a university leader in Australia. He served in intelligence during World War II, taught at Cambridge and Newcastle, and was a cultural ambassador for higher education.

Brinley Newton-John was the youngest ever Master of Ormond College, Melbourne, from 1954 to 1958. He was also a codebreaker, intelligence officer, singer, actor and professor of German Literature.
