Finalement No Doubt décide de se reformer et de continuer sur sa lancée en pensant que c'est ce que John aurait souhaité. Gwen ne se sentant pas le courage d'assumer le rôle de chanteuse principale, c'est Alan Meade le trompettiste qui prend la place de John, Gwen restant à sa place de deuxième chanteuse.
