- The Meteors : s'il ne devait y avoir qu'un groupe à connaître c'est bien celui là, comme en atteste le sigle "O.T.M.A.P.P", devenu le cri de ralliement des fans : "Only The Meteors Are Pure Psychobilly".
- Demented Are Go! : formé en 1982, ce quatuor britannique presque aussi influent que The Meteors a un atout (et un boulet) de taille : l'increvable Mark "Sparky" Philips dont la voix éraillée est le résultat d'un régime très strict à base d'alcool et de substances diverses.
- Mad Sin : encore des vétérans du psychobilly, puisque ce groupe allemand est actif depuis 1987 et a sorti son dernier album en 2010. Leur son joliment crade et le mélange de diverses sonorités (ska, garage, surf, country) en font un groupe incontournable.
- Washington Dead Cats : sans contrebasse (ne vous fiez pas à la vidéo, et ce ne sont pas vraiment des chats non plus), mais avec des cuivres : un mélange détonnant pour ce groupe français fondé en 1984, et de retour en 2010 après 10 ans d'inactivité.
