Xindian District ( Chinese: 新店 區; pinyin: Xīndiàn Qū) is an inner city district in the southern part of New Taipei City, Taiwan . Name. Xindian's name originated during the Qing Dynasty close to 300 years ago. According to legend, a person named Lin and others came from Quanzhou, Fujian Province.

Xindian, also known by its historical spelling Hsintien and alternative spelling Sindian, is a district in New Taipei where the apartment complexes of the Taipei metropolitan area meet the northern end of the Central Mountain Range.
Travel Tips. The best way to get to Xindian is with the Xindian Line's metro. When you get off the Station, Bitan is just right in front of you. At Bitan, visitors can take the swam pedal boat, enjoy the beautiful lakeview, and visit Bitan Suspension Bridge.
