UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) is a specific "flavor" of Universal Time intended to smooth out these variations by staying within 0.9 s of UT1. The difference between the two is called ΔUT1 Δ U T 1 and is adjusted as necessary, but can only be adjusted after observation. Larger adjustments come in the form of leap seconds.

4 oct. 2020 · UT1 just makes you tired and slow if you make it overly strenuous steady state. To get the most benefits, it should be a tempo piece or pieces at a substantially faster split and a bit of a higher rate than your typical SS, just after a nice warmup and just before a short cool down. For example, 10k straight at 1:55 r24 if I typically do long UT2 at 2:00 r20. Tough, but you can do it.

3 nov. 2017 · UT = utilization training. They correspond to aerobic training zones (usually derived from heart rate) with UT3 being a slow steady state (50-60% Max). UT2 is moderate (60-70% max). UT1 hard SS (70-80% max), UT3 is recovery, UT2 is standard SS, UT1 is robust SS in the low to mid 20s.
And then UT1 is defined as the mean solar time at 0° longitude. However, it is not realized by measurements of the sun's apparent position, but via a sidereal time or earth rotation angle. Extensive googling hasn't helped me to understand how this observed earth rotation angle is used to compute UT1.
17 juin 2014 · UT1 is typically employed in a fashion like 4x2k, 3x5k, 6x10'. Say you do 10 sessions a week, you'd maybe do 2 AT sessions, 2 Weights sessions, 4 UT2 sessions, and 2 UT1 sessions. Some sort of balance like that, a 2:1 or 3:1 ratio for UT2 to UT1 Hopefully this helps.
1 juil. 2021 · Keeping it super simple. It depends on how many sessions your are doing a week and day. For an Olympic athlete training 3 sessions / day. Their aerobic work would be 80% Ut2 with the remaining at harder intensity. For an athlete training 6/7 times a week. You would probably want to shift that, to a 60% UT2 / 40% higher intensity.
