  1. "Sciences-Po" is colloquial (though very much embraced by them and used in marketing), the actual name is IEP Paris. There are many other IEPs, some are just extensions of the main one, others are simply less prestigious/selective institutions independent from it: Bordeaux, Lyon, Strasbourg, Grenoble, Lille etc. Kind of like Centrale Paris vs Centrale Lyon/Nantes etc.

  3. First of all, is it Sciences Po Paris or an IEP (which often call themselves Sciences Po)? If it is the first one, it is one of the most prestigious schools in France. If it is an IEP, it is still prestigious but less so, and mostly really depends on which one you go to (I went to Rennes, middle of the pack, while Lille or Bordeaux have better reputation, and Toulouse and Lyon worse).

  4. 18 juin 2021 · Sciences Po Lille Jean Moulin University Lyon 3 University of Bordeaux Also wanted to get your guys' thoughts on how France will be doing with opening universities for next year/how vaccinations are going, as I obviously won't be coming if it is deemed that international travel for educational reasons are still risky by next winter.

Science Po Lyon is called IEP Lyon. For thes rest, you will have good time in both cities. Paris has a better uni but Lyon is by far cheapper (witch let you keeping money to cross ...

  6. For the humanities, the most prestigious would be Ecole Normale Supérieure ; for the STEM, Ecole Centrale ; for engineering, that would be Ecole Polytechnique. And for PoliSci / Econ / Law, Sciences Po. Those are the real equivalent to OxBridge. That's not a diss to Unis like the Sorbonne (also an alumni of Sorbonne Law School), but they have ...

  7. 8 janv. 2013 · Reputation. The schools I am considering are: Sciences Po (Paris) Universite Paris Dauphine. HEC Paris. Universite de Strasbourg. Universite Jean Moulin Lyon 3. My main goal is to learn French. I have heard that the schools in Paris (from the ones I listed) are the best, but I am a bit afraid of going to Paris because I imagine they are ...

  8. 17 déc. 2013 · They are separate schools, so you can't just pick the campus you want to go to, you have to be accepted to it. Sciences Po stands for political sciences, all "undergrads" have access to the same courses, there is only differentiations at the master level, but even there, it is quite flexible for exchange students.

  9. 26 déc. 2021 · It's not quite HEC, but Sciences Po is still one of the most famous schools in the whole of France. They do MBAs as well. Is it worth 37000€? idk, if it helps you land a 50000€+pa job 0 to 12 months later, I'd say it's a rather good investment. Sciences Po is an elite sect.

  10. 11 nov. 2022 · The "mediocrity" rumors either come from right-wing people or people who are confused between SciencesPo Paris (and its campuses in france) and every other course focused on political sciences. 9. Award. Freaks-Cacao. • 2 yr. ago. Former student of Science Po Paris here. The only real issue of the school is the process to register to classes.
