Victor Harvey Briggs III (14 February 1945 – 30 June 2021) was a British blues and rock musician, best known as the lead guitarist with Eric Burdon and The Animals during the 1966–1968 period. Briggs, a convert to Sikhism, later played classical Indian and Hawaiian music, and adopted the name Antion Vikram Singh Meredith.

23 mars 2016 · With the new band, featuring guitarist Vic Briggs, bassist Danny McCulloch and electric violinist John Weider, Burdon began to move from the gritty blues sound of the original mid-1960s group into psychedelic music.
The paths of Jimi Hendrix and Vic Briggs crossed many times, starting with the first few days of Jimi’s arrival in London in September 1966, to l’Olympia, Paris, on two occasions, Monterey Pop Festival and beyond. A friendship grew between the two guitarists and also a mutual respect as musicians.
