29 août 2012 · Port 22 is open or not on the server you are trying to ssh. If the control of remote server is in your hands and you have permissions, try to disable firewall on it. Try to ssh again. If port is not an issue then you would have to check for firewall settings as it is the one that is blocking your connection.

With this option set to a non-zero timeout, a read() call on the InputStream associated with this Socket will block for only this amount of time. If the timeout expires, a java.net.SocketTimeoutException is raised, though the Socket is still valid.

23 mai 2013 · If any of you happen to use WAMP then at least in the current version (3.0.6 x64) there's a file located in <your-wamp-dir>\alias\phpmyadmin.conf which overrides some of your php.ini options.
Tried running ssh -T [email protected] and it did time out, but adding -o KexAlgorithms=ecdh-sha2-nistp521 made a successful connection (found from this answer to a semi-related question). To permanently fix this, I just added a line KexAlgorithms=ecdh-sha2-nistp521 under github.com in my ~/.ssh/config. Everything seems to work fine now.
