28 févr. 2022 · The Terminator 1984 remastered version is incredible. Got me all excited thinking there was a 4K version of this I hadn't heard about. The picture quality is a big improvement, but I do think they went overboard with the teal-tinted color grading. I wish MGM would finally include the original 1984 mono mix for it someday.

Seeing the Terminator come out of that truck wreckage as an endoskeleton scared the shit out of me as an 8-year-old. But I think that's why Terminator 1 holds a special place in my heart (even though Judgement Day seems to be the fan favourite). I really like those horror elements, and the Tech Noir scene is one of my favourites in any film.
9 mai 2022 · As a former owner of the Skynet Edition and the 4K, the Lionsgate blu-ray is the one I stuck with. It's still not perfect but it was the best of them all. It has a better transfer than the skynet edition but doesn't have as much DNR as the 4K. This is also the same disc that is in the Terminator 6 film collection if you wanted all of them.
I think Dark Fate is the better version of Rise and with the opposite surviving protagonists and better cinematography. Genisys is not good but I find enjoyable as looked as a mid-90s 2 hour TV pilot for a Terminator TV series. I started with way, way, way low expectations and so it's able to rise above them.

22 mars 2019 · Terminator: The Burning Earth was probably one of my favorites growing up. Terminator Salvation 2029 and 1984 were excellent. I know some people didn't like Salvation, but those comics were solid. Pretty sure Joss Whedon's brother wrote them. Hunters and Killers was excellent, takes place in Russia.
