Howard Werth (born 26 March 1947) is an English singer, guitarist and record producer. He was the founder and frontman of the cult British art rock band Audience from 1967 to 1972, and 2004 to date.
Howard Werth was working on his first solo album at this time, still with Charisma and produced by Dudgeon. Called King Brilliant, his band, containing members of Hookfoot and with Mike Moran on keyboards, was dubbed Howard Werth and The Moonbeams, and came close to having a chart hit with Lucinda.

Vocalist-guitarist Howard Werth has a voice reminiscent of Mick Jagger, Van Morrison or Robert Plant. The most appreciated album of this fairly short-lived band is undoubtedly the third one, House on the Hill, produced by Gus Dudgeon.
