The House of Bonaparte is a former imperial and royal European dynasty of Italian origin. It was founded in 1804 by Napoleon I, the son of Corsican nobleman Carlo Buonaparte and Letizia Buonaparte (née Ramolino).

Elle est issue de la famille Bonaparte, une famille patricienne corse originaire d'Italie, reconnue noble en France sous l'Ancien Régime et devenue maison impériale à la suite de l'élévation de Napoléon Bonaparte à la dignité d'empereur des Français le 18 mai 1804. Maison Bonaparte (Corsican and Italian: Casa Buonaparte) is the ancestral home of the Bonaparte family. It is located on the Rue Saint-Charles in Ajaccio on the French island of Corsica . The house was almost continuously owned by members of the family from 1682 to 1923.
The House of Bonaparte was a royal dynasty started by Napoleon I, son of Carlo Bonaparte. The family formed the Imperial House of France during the first French Empire. The house last ruled until 1871, when they were ultimately ousted due to the effects of the Franco-Prussian War .
Bonaparte house. The history of the Bonaparte family goes back to the late 15th century with Francesco, the first Bonaparte to move to Corsica, nicknamed the Moor of Sarzane after the small Italian town from which the Bonaparte family originated.
History of the Museum. Napoleon was born in this house on 15 August 1769. He lived here until the age of nine when he left to go to school at the Collège d’Autun in France. At this time, his parents, Carlo and Letizia Bonaparte occupied the first floor with use of the kitchen on the ground floor.
