Portraits of Mistresses. a film by Rocco Labbé. 14 min - 2013 - France. In the lively, glamourous and extravagant city of Paris at the end of the XIXth century, four gentlemen are drinking and smoking. Each one recalls an either touching, comic or tragic story of a woman he loved.
In a Parisian Belle Époque smoking room, four men smoke, drink, and each evoke in turn, with humor, violence, or nostalgia, the memory of a woman who left her mark on them. Beyond these amusing portraits of mistresses, a gallery of the men's failures in love emerges.
“Portraits de Maîtresses”, based on Charles Baudelaire’s “Spleen de Paris”. Rocco is currently developing his first feature film, “Laminés”, a historical drama on the First World War.
In the lively, glamorous and extravagant city of Paris at the end of the XIXth century, four gentlemen are drinking and smoking. Each one recalls an either touching, comic or tragic story of a woman he loved. Through those lovely portraits of mistresses each one confesses his deep failure.
