Hertz is a scam! Hertz owes me $743.63. I rented a car for two weeks because I didn't know how long my dad was going to live. I pick up the car on March 28th and return it on April 6th. Not only was I charged an additional $318.64 for insurance I didn't want or need as American Express offers car rental insurance.

After much searching, found a random aggregator site for car rentals and found a full-size car from hertz for about $909 and booked it. The site was kind of sketchy looking, but a lot of them are.
Hertz is the absolute worst, and I don't say this mildly. Many people here are saying they rented without issue, but a car rental company shouldn't be judged when everything goes well, they should be judged when things don't go as planned. 18 févr. 2023 · If so, it shouldn’t be an issue. If you’re not, I would return it when you said you would, otherwise you could get charged for an additional day. Also, if anything happens (car accident, stolen car, etc) it puts you in a bit more of a grey area. Well, it’s Hertz, so you’ll probably be imprisoned for alleged car theft.
