The third gear failure is a known issue on the 650 engines, technically the dog teeth on the 6th gear that's supposed to engage on to the third gear is what fails. When the repair is done under warranty the output drive shaft assembly is replaced as a set.

The horsepower and torque are measured at the rear wheel. All figures are rounded to the nearest decimal point. Before: 18hp and 25Nm. After: 23hp and 27Nm. 28% increase in horsepower. The performance increase is instantly noticeable. During the first dyno run it was near impossible to measure the A/F ratio.
