14 août 2024 · Her normal weight is around 1kg, but she has currently lost over 300g and very visibly skinny (you can see her spine etc). I cannot exactly pinpoint when this happened since we unfortunately neglected our weekly weigh ins around the end of term period but she went down from 986g (within normal range) in May, to 738g (much below) on 19 July.

15 mai 2022 · Hi all! Around 3-4 days ago my guinea pig's butt started to get wet with her wee. I thought she'd just been sitting in her wee she'd done earlier but it's still wet and I don't know if I should make a vet call or not. She's still completely fine, eating, drinking etc. Thanks for any suggestions :)
1 nov. 2021 · I have had good results with Gabapentin both in spinal issues and bladder problems in piggies and dental pain in rabbits. I use the Gabapentin liquid 50mg /ml . We usually start at 0.l ml twice a day and increase until we see a response. The most l have used in a piggy is 0.25ml three times a day.
29 janv. 2024 · Jan 29, 2024. #1. This morning one of my piggles wasn’t fussed about eating and is very subdued . She is currently sitting next to me on sofa but has not had a wee or poo as yet . She ate a tiny bit of cucumber but isn’t fussed about anything else really . She is def not herself.
20 avr. 2012 · Junior Guinea Pig. Hi everyone, One of our pigs, Doris, has had 'snuffles' for quite some time now (probably almost 6-8 months). Slightly raspy breathing and the occasional sneeze. The vet thought it might be a mild upper respiratory infection and we've tried a few different courses of antibiotics but nothing's worked so far.

A few months ago she had a fall and broke her upper left arm, I took her to the vet but it seemed to only make it worse. Because of her age surgery wasn't an option so they just sent me home with anit inflamtories. The arm wasn't splinted so it healed very funny ...

9 oct. 2011 · 3,454. Reaction score. 51. Points. 550. Aug 3, 2011. #8. Sadly I also have experience of bladder stone piggies. Roxy our first sow to suffer with bladder issues never actually developed a stone, but her bladder was full of sludge and she had to have surgery to flush/clean it out.
