18 janv. 2014 · As you may know, there's a lot of talk about this one, a lot of confusion and little solid information. So far, the only confirmed method I've seen to avoid Onef's backstab and killing Egil is to not recruit him at all at Frostvellr. However, this choice means not getting the much needed supply cache (as well as a level 5 item), and your caravan will certainly run out of food on the journey.
Consider adding a spoiler tag to the title of your post. To your questions: No and No. Taking up Onef (and his supplies) is the only way to get Ekkill to offer to join up; the mutiny event in Chapter 6 will always trigger if you accept Onef, regardless of how you deal with Ekkill.
lordgizka Jan 17, 2014 @ 9:13pm. As I understood it, Onef is guaranteed to join if you stay inside the fortress, and there is a choice to get Ekkill afterwards. And you recruit neither if you simply leave the town outright or immediately after encountering Ekkill for the first time. Or I don't know jack. So yeah. #1. dq_177 Jan 17, 2014 @ 9:15pm.
18 nov. 2015 · Only by modding (cheating)... (1) Ekkill comes along only if you take Onef. But, if you take Onef then Egil dies... (2) If you refuse Onef, then Ekkill doesn't join, and Egil is safe from them. #1. Losk Osmanthus 路渐秋凉 Nov 18, 2015 @ 11:10am. The only way to obtain the hardest achievement is by not going through the best plot twist.
8 févr. 2021 · As far as I remember (because I always intend to keep Gil alive all through the saga), no, you cannot have Onef and Ekkill at the same time in your roster. You will be able to have Ekkill as a fighter only after Onef's mutiny, which is unavoidable since you accepted him to join your caravan. #1. Showing 1 - 1 of 1 comments.
27 janv. 2014 · Yuriken Jan 27, 2014 @ 10:10pm. To answer your question - technically yes, for the last portion of the game (Ekkill stays in your party after Onef's incident). Although I think the heart of the question is this instead: "Can you recruit Ekkill without having recruited Onef?" And the answer to that question is no.
16 oct. 2019 · Originally posted by Eqqsquizitine Buble-Schwinslow: Okay, so, when you ambushed the supply cart, you actually killed Onef. He was a backbiter with a blue shirt. If Onef is dead, the game won't let you get Ekkill, no matter what. The only way to get Ekkill is to NOT ambush the cart, and then accept Onef into your group.
16 janv. 2014 · I want to start a list with playable Characters that can permanently leave your group (by death or any other reason) and find out which "losses" are optional and which are inevitable. I am well aware that this list is tentative and some entries may be wrong (especially some "safe" characters may be losable i guess). So please add / correct all the missing and incorrect information!

16 janv. 2014 · Onef is evil, not Dr. Evil kind of evil, but a real cutthroat. It's what makes this game stand out, it,s frustrating, sometimes unforgiving, but rewarding. A nice change of pace from most RPG's, where you don't loose teammates unless you 1uck up, and even then you can just load. You're in the middle of a war, lots of people die, but never your teammates, they're heroes and are immune to real life.
