Dell don't add their NBD to the Inspiron, Studio and XPS lines by default any more (still there on Vostro, Latitude and Precision lines though). My trick to fast warranty support is to avoid Dell's consumer hotline, try going to their business hotline, if they force you to go through a script then do it but if you get through to the business line then they normally dont.
