  1. 24 août 2021 · Typically CBC, Global News, CTV, and the National Post are all pretty good (imo) The first three tend to be liberally biased, whereas the NP is conservatively biased (good to even it out). I'm sure you'll have replies for anglo news sources, but for francophone news I tend to look at Le Devoir, Radio-Canada (CBC in french) and La Presse.

  2. 5 août 2019 · It's mainly CBC English and CBC French that covers nearly every major region in Canada. I wish Global had more feeds as well, but not bad at all for covering all major time zones. I wish CTV had their feeds outside of a Cable log in paywall though. Those would be amazing if they made them available. Oh well, enjoy what we are able to get for free without cable! lol

  4. As for TV news--I regularly tune into newsworld, ctv news channel, global, ctv and cbc. IMO, very rarely is there a different noticeable bias. All these networks have a similar bent. I love cbc radio. Both 1 and 2. But then living on the east coast--local radio leaves much to be desired. Love their music streams. I use them a lot.

  5. Newfoundland checking in. CBC News website is free access and has local reporting. For reading the news online it’s the best choice. For national news broadcasts: The National is on earlier than CTV National News, but I prefer the latter. Global National is on right after the supperhour news so it’s probably the most watched national news ...

  6. According to the CBC... Paralympians have decided that it isnt enough that we as Canadians continue to fund their entire existence within organized sport (and otherwise through incredibly generous health care) No, its not enough to provide these folks a platform thatd theyd not be able to provide themselves.. Now we have to pay them, on top of ...

  7. 9 juil. 2018 · Posts: 36,451. CBC is all social justice all the time. CTV tends to be more balanced, and in the Maritimes, gives good regional coverage. Global has a minimal presence in the Maritimes (news program for the Maritimes is based out of Toronto), but I find the Global National News to be surprisingly good.

  8. Yeah the CBC is constantly laying ruin on all political parties. They reported on many of the PM's scandals. The idea that the CBC is biased in their news reporting doesn't really track. Their programming is pretty progressive and maybe the conservatives want programming to only be white folks herding the caddle while the wife is barefoot and ...

  10. 7 déc. 2023 · I notice a lot of comments online hating on the CBC. A lot of comments call for the CBC to be defunded. I work for the CBC. I work on their language learning app, Mauril. My job is safe. My whole department is fine. I know we announced that we may have to lay some people off, but we have more revenue coming on the 19th of December.
