16 févr. 2018 · I'm looking at a new to me 2014 R1200GS Adventure and wondering if anyone knows a way to reseach the VIN to determine what factory options the bike came with. Can anyone tell me if that's possible? Thanks, Steve

23 janv. 2005 · If you were to obtain a USA0-spec bike in Germany from a German source, once you moved it to the USA, it would only have the same warranty as a European bike does in Germany. In order to legitimately import any fairly new vehicle and register the it in the USA, you must have a customs release.
8 févr. 2021 · One big problem with mega-motor-madness dealerships (the one that bought out Gina's BMW in Iowa City claims 20 brands if you count generators and chainsaws ) is a lack of qualified service techs. Often they have only one BMW certified tech. And sometimes that newish tech lacks training on and knowledge of older models.
27 nov. 2019 · At first glance, it is difficult to distinguish from R80 before 1990, and it is necessary to always check the frame number and the model of bike verification, etc. without judging only by the letters and style of the side cover. There are two types, R80 / 100 and R100. The engine model is 102VC only.
29 févr. 2020 · Mar 1, 2020. #8. Rickt. Both the Avon, and the Michelin Pilot Activ tires are excellent choices for your airhead. I don’t remember if the R90S has spokes or snowflake wheels, but in my experience it makes a difference. The Pilot Activ tire is very stiff and difficult to get seated on the snowflakes.

The dry clutch is hard to change on a BMW and MG due to the drivetrain layout and what you have to do to get to it, not simply because it is a dry clutch.
