Ariane 6 comprises three stages: two or four boosters, and a main and upper stage – known together as the central core. The main stage together with the solid rocket boosters propels Ariane 6 in the first phase of flight.
ARIANE 6. STANDARD MISSION PROFILE. The core stage with solid rocket boosters (P120C) propels Ariane 6 in the first 10 minutes of flight to 200 km, delivering 135 tons of thrust in vacuum.
Ariane 6 is a European expendable launch system operated by Arianespace and developed and produced by ArianeGroup on behalf of the European Space Agency (ESA). It replaces Ariane 5, as part of the Ariane launch vehicle family. This two-stage rocket utilizes liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen engines.
