Jefferson Airplane est un groupe américain de rock psychédélique, originaire de San Francisco, en Californie. Rattaché au San Francisco Sound, il est l'un des précurseurs du mouvement psychédélique. Le groupe est entré au Rock and Roll Hall of Fame en 1996.
Formed in 1965, the group originally featured vocalist and rhythm guitarist Marty Balin, vocalist Signe Toly Anderson, lead guitarist and vocalist Jorma Kaukonen, rhythm guitarist and vocalist Paul Kantner, bassist Bob Harvey and drummer Jerry Peloquin.
Jefferson Airplane was an American rock band formed in San Francisco, California in 1965. One of the pioneering bands of psychedelic rock, the group defined the San Francisco Sound and was the first from the Bay Area to achieve international commercial success.
Jefferson Airplane played a vital role at key events of the 1960s, including the Monterey Pop Festival and Woodstock. Their 1967 album Surrealistic Pillow is considered one of the landmark records of psychedelic rock and includes hits such as “Somebody to Love” and “White Rabbit.”.
Formé à San Francisco, Etats-Unis au cours de l'été 1965, le groupe de rock américain Jefferson Airplane est considéré comme l'un des pionniers du mouvement psychédélique.
