Battery and water in diesel light on and it's over charging new shape l200 57 plate, changed diesel filter put new battery on and 2 new alternators thought first was faulty but still overcharging up to 18v at some points.

Well coming from disco land, I thought I had turbo whistle, but it turned to be exhaust manifold gasket. did have warrior, but crossed over to disco 2. Thought I could see light at the end of the tunnel, but it was somebody with a torch bringing more work!

You might want to have a read of this thread, 2004 L200 puffs smoke when ticking over. If the EGR was blocked or faulty then normally you would have black smoke as it restricts the air flow to the engine.

I did think the l200 was solid but,again,the only reason i questioned it was i thought i was having clutch trouble a week or two back and two different people said they are dmf but would be cheaper to convert to solid..and conversion kits do exist so ...
