From my observation, I should have kept it at 17.7 because after OS update, slight lag has been prevalent (18.0.1 improved snappiness though). I realize that Apple determined the market was not large enough to justify continuing the line with the 14 series. I was so excited for the 13 mini. I was ready for a phone that could not only be held with one hand, but also operated with one hand.

Then this evening when I plugged in my iPhone my head unit said "Device Not Supported". When I unplugged it and plugged it back in again, car play started like normal.
