Cyril Raker Endfield, dit Cy Endfield, né le 10 novembre 1914 à Scranton (Pennsylvanie, États-Unis) et mort le 16 avril 1995 à Shipston-on-Stour (Warwickshire, Royaume-Uni), est un scénariste, metteur en scène de théâtre et de cinéma, écrivain, magicien, et inventeur américain, établi en Grande-Bretagne à partir de 1953.
Cyril Raker Endfield (November 10, 1914 – April 16, 1995) was an American film director, who at times also worked as a writer, theatre director, magician and inventor. Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, he worked in the New York theatre in the late 1930s before moving to Hollywood in 1940.
The film was directed by American screenwriter Cy Endfield and produced by Stanley Baker and Endfield, with Joseph E. Levine as executive producer. The screenplay was by Endfield and historical writer John Prebble, based on Prebble's 1958 Lilliput article "Slaughter in the Sun".
