His funeral took place on 20 January at St Baglan's Church in the remote village of Llanfaglan near Caernarfon. He was buried in the family plot in the churchyard. Publications. St. Baglan’s church in Llanfaglan was built in the 13th century, but the cemetery surrounding the building and the stones from the 5th and 6th centuries in its structure, indicate that it was built on the site of a much older temple, which according to tradition is attributed to a saint from the 7th century, Baglan ap Dingad.
Finally, he gave in and built the church by the tree [3] (presumably this site was rebuilt in the medieval period as St Baglan's church which burned down in 1954 [2] and is now a sad ruin). The crozier apparently survived until the 17th century.
