Douglas 'Dougie' Campbell Thomson (born 24 March 1951) is a Scottish musician, born in Glasgow and raised in the Rutherglen area of the city. He was the bass guitarist of progressive rock band Supertramp during much of the Seventies and Eighties.

6 juin 2016 · A member of the London jazz-blues ensemble The Alan Bown Set, bassist Dougie Thomson was the consummate song player, plying melodic extensions, unison lines, and pocket grooves for his prolific composer bandmates Rodger Hodgson and Rick Davies.
Dougie Thomson, le bassiste du groupe depuis 1972, ne se joint pas au projet et est remplacé par Cliff Hugo. Ces musiciens partent alors travailler dans le studio de Rick Davies.
