The unit, 129-130 Princes Street, is currently home to HMV and extends approximately 20,500 sq ft over four levels. Sports Direct acquired the property from Lancashire County Pension Fund.

And yes, this is getting tedious as **** and I can imagine it's probably putting off people from Edinburgh or any other part of Scotland from joining this forum. This thread should be erased and a new thread created where Edinburgh's retail is actually discussed.

This is 1 city whose skyline would be made worse by skyscrapers. Reply Like.

The large site has lain dormant for years due to a long-running planning battle then the economic downturn. The development already has full planning consent and has the potential to create 3,500 jobs.

Finance worth £15m annually has been pledged for airlines considering flights from Edinburgh. The funding will only be handed over once a commitment has been made to a new service.
