His students represent the 50 years Lee Strasberg spent training actors—from the Group Theatre in 1931, through the Actors Studio and The Institute until 1981, and beyond through The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. Lee’s work with actors began to transform the American Theatre and American film, populating both with a distinct level of authentic performance.
