John Howland Cochrane (/ ˈ k ɒ k r ən / KOK-rən; born 26 November 1957) is an American economist who has served as the Rose-Marie and Jack Anderson Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution since 2015.
21 janv. 2023 · The basic story of fiscal theory is really best told with sticky prices; a period of inflation above the nominal rate slowly inflates away debt. I make this point in a continuous time model, which I now realize is the clearest way. This ended up in the new Ch 5, but this short note makes the basic point very simply.
