Daniel Elmer Salmon, né le 23 juillet 1850 à Mount Olive dans le New Jersey, mort le 30 août 1914 [1] est devenu en 1876 le premier diplômé en doctorat de médecine vétérinaire (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine - D.V.M) des États-Unis [2].

Biography. Daniel Elmer Salmon was born on July 23, 1850 in Mount Olive, New Jersey. He was a member of the first class to enter Cornell University, where he trained in veterinary studies under James Law and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 1872.
