Clara Allegra Byron, née le 12 janvier 1817 à Bath en Angleterre et morte à Bagnacavallo le 20 avril 1822, d'abord prénommée Alba, c'est-à-dire « aube » ou « blanche » par sa mère, est la fille illégitime du poète Byron et de Claire Clairmont, la fille de la belle-mère de Mary Shelley [1].
Clara Allegra Byron (12 January 1817 – 20 April 1822) was the illegitimate daughter of the poet George Gordon, Lord Byron, and Claire Clairmont. Born in Bath, England, she was initially named Alba, meaning "dawn", or "white", by her mother.
Cette représentation, hypothèse, sinon hypothèque sur l’avenir de l’enfant, projette dans le lointain la réalisation d’un couple entre un père sénile et une fille non mariée (une vierge et en même temps une vieille fille). Pour Allegra, Byron imagine même plusieurs scénarios possibles.
