Charles H. "Colorado Charlie" Utter (March 14, 1838 – July 3, 1915) was a figure of the American Wild West, best known as a great friend and companion of Wild Bill Hickok. He was also friends with Calamity Jane.
Charlie Utter was a trapper, guide, and prospector who met Wild Bill Hickok in Colorado and became his friend and partner. He helped Hickok in his mail express business, buried him after his murder, and moved to various places in the West.
