Mary Anita Thigpen Perry (born May 5, 1952) is an American nurse who was the longest-serving First Lady of Texas, being in that role from 2000 to 2015. She is married to former Texas Governor Rick Perry. As First Lady of Texas, she had been an active advocate for nursing and other health care issues.

Anita Thigpen Perry. As First Lady, Mrs. Perry championed a number of healthcare-related issues, including domestic violence awareness, breast cancer awareness, childhood immunizations, and the critical nursing shortage. Among her many honors, Mrs. Perry was inducted into the Texas Women’s Hall of Fame for Leadership in 2014.
17 sept. 2019 · Anita Perry’s 2003 inaugural gown is a modified Rose Taft design in teal with pale gold accents. The gown bodice is designed using a delicate French lace, which is detailed with hand scalloping and hand beading. The long, shapely skirt is made of iridescent silk taffeta. Swarovski crystals were used as accents on the gown.
