Drama revolves around modes of transportation, there's a world fair, and the film breaks out of the studio with very rare, on-location scenes in Milan. It's a cool time capsule. Camerini didn't have the revolutionary mindset of Italy's future auteurs, but he enjoyed these films and clearly had a great handle on them.
