Cinéaste, Iran. Né en Iran en 1957, Mohsen Makhmalbaf est à la fois cinéaste, romancier, scénariste, monteur, producteur et militant des droits de l’homme. Depuis ses débuts de réalisateur en 1983, il réalise une vingtaine de longs métrages en Iran, en Afghanistan, au Pakistan, en Israël, en Turquie, et dans d’autres pays.
