The John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University was established in 1936. At the time, the United States was recovering from the Great Depression, and the government was grappling with historic domestic and international challenges.

We are part of the Harvard Kennedy School, as well as the oldest research program of the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. Although located within the School of Government, ISP is not a degree program. ISP addresses the most important challenges to U.S. national security and international security in the quarter century ahead.
Our museum programs for grades 3-8 extend and enrich classroom studies in American history, Civics, and English Language Arts. All museum visits by school groups must be scheduled in advance.
