Sophie de Merenberg, comtesse de Torby (1 er juin 1868 - 14 septembre 1927), est la fille aînée du prince Nicolas de Nassau et de son épouse morganatique, Natalia Alexandrovna Pouchkina, comtesse de Merenberg.

Sophie was the elder daughter of Prince Nikolaus Wilhelm of Nassau and Natalia Pushkina, and the mother of Anastasia de Torby. She married morganatically Grand Duke Michael Mikhailovich of Russia, who was exiled and died of influenza.
Grand Duke Michael and the Countess de Torby had two daughters and one son. Anastasia de Torby ( Zia ) (9 September 1892 – 7 December 1977); married London 20 July 1917 Sir Harold Wernher, 3rd Bt (1893–1973).
Harold Wernher was a British military officer and diamond magnate who married Countess Anastasia de Torby, a Russian princess. He played a key role in World War II and inherited the Wernher baronetcy and Luton Hoo estate.
