Martin Healy is a puppet dance duo who reached the Semi-Finals of Series 7 of Britain's Got Talent. He was aged 57 and worked as a surveyor at the time of his audition.
In his audition, Healy danced to 'Edelweiss' from The Sound of Music alongside a puppet of a nun. David voted 'no', however Healy was able to persuade Alesha & Amanda to put him through (Simon was not present during his audition). Amanda remarked 'I think you should try stand-up', before reciting a joke about wherein you'd find a dog without legs, with the punchline being 'Where you left it'.
•Alesha & Amanda were initially going to vote no, however both of them changed their minds.
A graduate of the Crawford College of Art in Cork, Martin Healy works through the media of photography and video. Solo exhibitions of his work have been organised in Ireland and the USA and, as part of group exhibitions, his work has also been shown in Europe, South Africa and Australia.
Martin Healy has served as Extra Sport's deputy sport editor since January 2023 and primarily focuses on all things Irish soccer.
