The Buchmann-Mehta School of Music (BMSM) is an institute of higher education in Tel Aviv, Israel. The school is a part of the Faculty of the Arts of Tel Aviv University and is operated in collaboration with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (IPO).
The Buchmann-Mehta School of Music offers a high-level Orchestral Training Program and intensive practical training opportunities with the Israel Philharmonic and its guest artists – the world’s leading conductors and soloists.
The Buchmann-Mehta School of Music was founded in 2005, as a merge of the Samuel Rubin Israel Academy of Music, Tel-Aviv University's Musicology Department and the orchestral training program of the Israel Philharmonic.
The School trains the future generations of Israel's musicians in every musical domain: performing, singing, conducting, composition and theoretical research, emphasizing the training of a new generation of orchestral players – a reserve of musicians for the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the other Israeli orchestras.

Welcome to the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music. Josef Buchmann, Vice Chairman of TAU Board of Governors, established in 2005 the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music with his close friend Zubin Mehta, and is a loyal supporter of the School ever since.
