Appears on two albums with The Chieftains: In 2003 on Further Down the Old Plank Road singing "Hick's Farewell" and in 2005 on Live From Dublin: A Tribute To Derek Bell singing "Carrickfergus". Performed with Steve Earle on the song " After the Fire is Gone " from Coal Miner's Daughter: A Tribute To Loretta Lynn (2010).

Further Down the Old Plank Road is a 2003 album by The Chieftains. It is a collaboration between the Irish band and many top country music musicians including Rosanne Cash, Chet Atkins, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Ricky Skaggs, and Patty Loveless.
Relative newcomer Allison Moorer does a soulful “Hick’s Farewell”, a song dating back to the 1830s. Tim O’Brien does “Shady Grove” and the bluegrass meets Celtic reel works excellently.

20 sept. 2023 · Further Down the Old Plank Road ne souffre aucunement de la comparaison avec son prédécesseur, c'est même sans doute l'effort le plus réussi des CHIEFTAINS dans leurs crossovers Irlande-U.S.A. Exit les medleys de dix minutes, on reste sur du format court, avec un niveau de chansons équivalent.
