University Facts. The moment you visit Fairfield University, everything feels different. Our scenic, 200-acre campus is situated on the Connecticut coastline, just 60-minutes away from the heart of Manhattan and less than a mile from the beaches of Long Island Sound.
The Office of Undergraduate Admission offers a variety of in-person and virtual visit opportunities for prospective students and their families to determine if Fairfield is the school for them. Our in-person visits are the best way to get a feel for campus life and learn more about our schools.
Fairfield University is a private Jesuit university in Fairfield, Connecticut. It was founded by the Jesuits in 1942. In 2023, the university had about 5,000 full-time undergraduate students and 1,200 graduate students, including full-time and part-time students.
