The State University of New York at Plattsburgh (SUNY Plattsburgh) is a public university in Plattsburgh, New York. The university was founded in 1889 and officially opened in 1890. The university is part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system and is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
Set in a small city on the shore of Lake Champlain, between the Adirondacks and Green Mountains, Plattsburgh is rich in regional interests. The residential campus is clean, safe and easy to walk.
